Culinary-Humber

The pictures below are a combo of dishes I have made at home and at the culinary skills coarse I am attending at Humber Polytechnic

They consist of dishes from Basic culinary Skills/Tech, Baking and pastry arts and Basic Garde Manger.

 

Basic Culinary Skills/Tech

Here is a seared and baked porkchop topped with a mushroom marsala sauce, served with chive and parmesan risotto, turned zucchini and braised cabbage.

Here we have mashed potatoes flavored with cream and roasted garlic. Along with turned potatoes boiled and fried in butter.

Baking and Pastry arts

These are hand made quiches with the filling and crust made by hand. They are savory egg pies flavored with spinach and chedder

These are basic red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting topped with cupcake crumbs and white chocolate

Garde Manger

Here we made a variety of cold, blended soups. A chilled potato vichyssoise, a classic gazpacho from Roma tomatoes, cucumber, bread, garlic and onion, lastly a savory three melon soup made with honeydew, cantaloupe and watermelon.

These are cold hors oeuvres and canapes. A cucumber Canape with a goat cheese topping, black forest ham Canapes and deviled eggs
